I’ve sucked it up since my last entry and just made time to work on things. Even if it’s just playing through songs on acoustic guitar everyday in five minute spurts, I’m doing something, and it feels damn good! I’ve also had some ‘corporate’ music composition work this week, which I don’t hate either. BUT I WANT TO GET MY RECORD DONE. And yes, I still say ‘record’, and will continue to do so, despite the lack of vinyl.
It’s been easy to be excited about my own music, since I like so much other music right now. I went through what seemed like an eternity of thinking that I wasn’t ever going to like new music again. Now I’m hard pressed to even find something Top 40 that I don’t like, which is just…sick and wrong. But I love it!
I was just reading about Linda Perry’s lawsuit against Warner over royalties from James Blunt’s debut, and I have to admit, I’m just in awe of her in a way I would have never predicted back in 4 Non Blondes’ days.
