As a writer I’ve been lucky to get my bylines printed on some pretty spectacular places over the years. Local Kansas City music site The Zone, north eastern print magazine Local Flair, and international sites Mp3.com (specifically their Women of Mp3.com hub) and Estrogen Music have all been home to my rants. I won’t list my letters-to-the-editors here. Suffice to say, I’ve had a few opinions.
I’m also very proud to have been part of Deidre Hughey’s I AM Bound and Determined project, which is a must-read for abuse survivors.
I am an avid blogger as well, which I hope to consolidate on this site, as well as add some of my poetry and short stories. Yeah…we all have a novel in us, right? Thanks, Nanowrimo. As one of my heroes, Fran Lebowitz said, “Your life story would not make a good book. Don’t even try.” But maybe our pretend lives could? We’ll see.
